It was so obvious. But people are much more eager to go on the defensive than actually take a few moment to think about what they're going to say and reflect in the way you propose here.
But even if you like something, if you criticize it one bit, you still take the risk of getting jumped at for not being all praise and sunshine and rainbows.
Give credit where credit is due, as I always say. But some people can't stand the fact that the market offers something different for different tastes and needs. Right now, the rampant trolling, bashing and downplaying of everything Switch and Nintendo is at an all time high, and it's quite annoying to see that it's always the same ones putting every negative spin possible on everything Nintendo. It gets old quite fast, and arguing with such people in an exercise in futility. They act and reason with the highest level of bad faith one can muster. So it's a waste of time and energy to engage them and expecting any result.
