Do you do anything else besides say something at choice points? Perhaps the videos don't show all, but it seems an extremely linear dragon's lair type experience with voice control.

Anyway groundbreaking? Elite Dangerous supports speech recognition since 2014

The PC has supported voice-recognition for the last 20-odd years.
You could even map certain voice lines to input for games.

But that's a hack-and-bolt solution, not something elegant. With that said, using voice to augment your controller/keyboard/mouse is awesome, Wish more games would do it... That was actually one of the best things about Kinect, the voice commands.

Astra is a bit more than simple voice commands. You can query a database using natural language, for example ask the AI for details about stars. Btw in the video they show the same hack-and-bolt solution, except now the devs do it. Enter a bunch of phrases the game can recognize at one point and tie it to the next event for the game.

Starship Titanic is 1998 let you have sort of mini conversations with the AI (in text). It would be cool if a more advanced version of a system like that was connected to speech recogniztion. It was quite cool you could refer to what you were talking about with words like 'that' etc.
