2TB UBB 2.0 3,5'' fat external drive with independant power supply. Wich is way oversized.
I used to have a 1TB 3.0 USB drive on it though wich was just wasted speed since the WiiU only supports 2.0 usb, so I swapped them around. I always go with the bigger drives and external power supply because I've made bad experiences with the smaller ones. The fuller they get the more power they draw and sometimes they won't even start up with a y-cable attached.
