And of course, its $10 off from a $60 game where as if you got a new copy for $10 more, it would always work and it wont have any scratches. Also the resell value would be higher if you keep your games in good conditions 

Any games I've had that have died typically died in the first month. Not sure i've had any games die a year later.

Happened to me once after buying melee for GameCube. And the resell value would also be lower since I havnt seen a used copy that had hardly any scratches.

The reason I use amazon tho (apart from not dealing with that) is because with prime membership, you get 20% off of pre-orders and new games which released less than 2 weeks ago. So my new game price essentially beats their used game price. Amazon does have a yearly fee but since I use amazon for many other things including their prime video, its easy for me to justify it. My student discount of 50% off yearly prime is still going so...
