This generation's version of the Game Genie / Game Shark...only not as cool, since those early cheat devices could do all sorts of cool things beyond 99 lives & level select.
I think only trophy whores will care about this product. (Not hunters; trophy whores will play anything and everything for easy plats.) Even then, it won't help with the "do this thing X times," "find and collect all of the X," or online trophies.
A really bad possible response to this sort of thing could be games having their save files all online in a database, like some online titles already have. It's unlikely to happen due to inevitable backlash, though.
