The clear downside is needing an app and an ancillary device to do everything that the Vita could do in 2011. I used to be able to howl at the moon without doing a voodoo dance around a burning barrel. No matter the platform. Now, with the Switch, there's a cememony involved. No.......NO! C'mon man. Needing an app isn't in-and-of-itslelf a downside. Especially when the device will always be on your person. There is no voodoo. You're plugging headphones in an tapping a screen a few times to send an invite using a better UI than any console has ever had. If you have an iphone, accepting an invite wouldn't even necessitate you unlock your phone. In case you forgot, phones are more user friendly than consoles.
