57.1 Million PS4 Shipped by Sony as of December 2016; PlayStation Sales and Income Soar

Some great numbers, but 3.7m PS4s on shelves/in warehouses on January 1st seems quite a lot.
I just checked last year's numbers, they had 35.9m PS4s sold through at January 3rd 2016 and 37.7m shipped at December 31st 2015, so that was 1.8m PS4s on shelves/in warehouses.
