How many units does Xbox One need to sell to be considered a success?

Well profit wise has xbox ever been successful? I thought it generally went into to the red on all 3 consoles. I could be wrong though. In answer though I suppose enough units combined with software to make a decent worthwhile profit

 

Also are you talking money success or like brand success?
