I'm not generally a fan of preordering myself, but I'll do it if it's 1. a game I know I want and it has a decent preordering incentive or 2. preordering it is simply a good deal (such as the $10 reward bonus Best Buy sometimes does).
Cases in point:
1. I have an open preorder for Kingdom Hearts 3 from over 2 years ago on Amazon because I locked in at the price of $40.99
2. I have preorders for Horizon, God of War, Mass Effect 4 and The Fractured But Whole for $34 each, because of a Visa Checkout promo at Best Buy.
