Console gamers are used to somewhat older tech, with a few improvemets from newer tech thrown in. It's what keeps the prices ~$399. To be fair though, despite the Xbox One and Playstation 4 using older tech. - Graphics Core next 1.1 had only just started to trickle in with Bonair. So it's not like there was a substantual feature difference.
It wasn't untill Tonga (Graphics Core Next 1.2) did Graphics Core Next push ahead with things like Delta Colour Compression.
There will be a big feature difference between NCU and what we get after Navi.
