I would do it if I thought higher of my country or alternatively for personal reasons (was on the fence about joining the Air Force a few years back, took my pre-ASVAB and background screening).
As it stands what our people in power accomplish is the will of their own and not the will of the people and there's no flying chance that I would go to death for that unless circumstances changed.
