Hmm...like some others have said, I don't consider most of these franchises to be dead permanently...but just talking as they currently stand:

Metroid Other M - Never played it, but watching my brother try it out was honestly exhausting. It was such a shame seeing this after the Prime trilogy.

Banjo: Nuts and Bolts - This game might be solid on its own...but definitely wasn't the game I was looking forward to for so long. The characters in B&K were fun...but there was much more to the first two games than what carried over into this game.

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn - Not the worst game ever...and I'd probably give it a solid 7/10...but it felt very standard in comparison to the amazing first two games. I do hope the franchise returns, but I worry that the lukewarm reception of the last entry will shelve this series for a while.

Finally...this isn't really the same...but I have zero interest in playing my old Naruto games after reading and growing to despise the manga. So in that case, you can say the source material killed my interest in the entire franchise...including games I already own.
