You're sure?

Xbox one game engine says - put this code bits in esram please.

Scorpio says - what is esram?

No need to emulate the hole game since the CPU and GPU has backwards compatible with the old instructions but the different memory scheme is going to have a workaround, and just because this is backwards compatible doesn't mean is automatically the same generation console.

Scorpio might not need to care about eSRAM. It should be able to just brute force it with the proper abstraction.

Need more information first on how Microsoft has achieved it... But Quad-Drupling the L2 cache is likely to counter the reduction in eSRAM.

Doesn't the 32mb esram have some advantages, like direct access to the gpu independent of the main memory bus?
How is 8 mb of L2 cache going to replace that?
Plus I guess games can be better optimized when not having to resort to tiling to fit in esram.

I guess it can adequately emulate it with the higher speeds of everything else for backwards compatibility, yet for real benefits games will likely need a scorpio patch.
