Here's my predictions:
- Q3/Q4 2018 announcement, September 2019 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
- PS5/next-gen Xbox/PC announcement in 2020, PS5 and next-gen Xbox release Holiday 2020, PC early 2021. They did this to maximise sales with GTA V, I don't see why they wont also do it this time. It's an absolute great way to get people to buy the game multiple times. It wouldn't even surprise me if they're also gonna do this with RDR2
- Main story to be quite short for GTA's standard with about 20 hours (according to HowLongToBeat.com San Andreas is 33.5hours, IV is 28 hours and V is 31 hours)
- 1 protagonist
- 3 big cities plus countryside: Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas. Los Santos and its countryside will be an almost 1:1 copy of GTA V, San Fierro and Las Venturas plus their respective countryside will each be about the size of GTA V's map, but with a bigger focus on the city instead of the countryside. Basically this: http://i.imgur.com/rLEXkdZ.jpg
- Players will be able to carry over everything from GTA V Online to GTA VI Online. Characters, guns, properties, cars, you name it, it all carries over if you'd like to
