I think Microsoft knows that their initial mistakes affected the Xbox One as if it had launched a year later.  It seems the PS4 was an all out great gaming console when first released.  You take that and couple it with the mistakes Microsoft made which took a year for them to rectify.  But by then, the PlayStation brand was more reputable over Xbox.  And even now you look at the Xbox when compared to PlayStation, the PlayStation just has more to offer even after Microsoft has pushed out constant Xbox One promotions.  So they have to do all they can to prevent the Xbox One from appearing irrelevant to the PS4.

I guess... its just a really weird thing. Seeing MS throw all those promotions and stuff at the market around the holiday season to eek out 100k or less win here or there for 3-4 months in a year...... then lose to the PS4 on what are generally regarded as the slow months by like 100k for 8 months in the year.

What I am really finding shocking; how can the PS4pro be selling better than the XB1s on amazon????? How is that even possible?

I know "we" tend to use Amazon as a means to gauge how well consoles are selling.  But if I were to guess why the Pro is selling better than the Xbox One S, I'd say we American's have more money than sense in worst case scenario.  The Pro is my first PS4 purchase.  And I can phantom why it isn't worth the upgrade if you already have a PS4 Slim from watching several video reviews.  But I must say that I feel more "secure" buying the Pro over the PS4 Slim.  So whether it's Pro or Slim, I does make sense to me that the PlayStation as a home console brand is going to outsell the Xbox One. Because pre Pro and Slim, PlayStation was already outselling the One.
