Wow....

Assuming you did not put expensive garbage into your PC, your PC can already do HDR. Granted, there aren't any good HDR monitors out there yet but nothing stops you from plugging your PC into your TV. The first high end HDR monitors are coming this year.

Thread title is still false. It should be "Good TV > bad monitor".

I own an HDR capable PC and a high end HDR TV but I would never plug my PC into my TV because the input lag on all 4K TVs is garbage.

Epic fail there buddy...  Can you play RE7 in HDR on a PC?  Right now? With a TV?

I don't know why you can't afford good tech but my TV is perfect for playing games and my monitor is Gsync capable at 100Hz...   I didn't name the tech, but it's obvious you don't know what high end is...

I'm happy for you that you can live with garbage input lag, I can't. I'm used to 1ms at 144Hz Gsync so no way I can play on my TV with 20ms and even more when HDR is turned on.

I've long plugged all my consoles into a monitor because of that reason. My UE65JS9500 is now only my video display.

And yes, you are technically correct that you currently cannot play RE7 in HDR on a PC right now, though that got more to do with the fact that the software doesn't support it. Your GPU is perfectly capable of HDR games. And HDR is coming this year to monitors, Windows 10 and many more games. So if anything your thread is just premature.

You said PC cannot support HDR, that is factually wrong. It's the software and monitors that can't.
