| DonFerrari said: So is SG-1000, SG-2000 and SG-3000 the same system? Nope, not the same system with different names. We already accepted that Switch is the sucessor to WiiU, what isn't accepted is that Switch would be 9th gen because of it. And you haven't brought to table what is the new things that they are bringing and what was impossible before. Saying Zelda BotW wouldn't play in 1080p60fps in WiiU (while it would with quite some easyness on PS4 or X1) doesn't make Switch a 9th gen console. |
I'm not saying at all that SG-1000 is the same as SG-2000 and SG-3000. I've already stated that SG-2000 is an upgrade of SG-1000 which it factually is. I'm saying that SG-3000 and Master System are the same thing. SG-3000 launched in Japan as the MK-III, the third version of the SG-1000 and was then rebranded as the Master System upon the world wide launch. Where is the confusion setting in?
What is the PS4 bringing to the table that was impossible on the PS3 other than higher resolution and FPS? Any developer can downgrade a PS4 game and then develop that game to run on PS3...the difference is the PS4 runs better at higher resolution. The Switch will run better at higher resolution than the Wii U just like the PS4 will run better at higher resolutions than PS3. What the Switch is doing is taking an existing concept and using that concept as its primary way of playing games. You have two joycons that attach/detach to the Switch's gaming pad so you can take your gaming pad on the go or you can dock it and utilize the full potential of the Switch. It's different than the Wii U, it's different than the Wii, it's different than the GC, N64, SNES, NES. It's a new generation. Facts don't bow down to your subjective points. Nintendo is implementing existing ideas and concepts in new ways that will enable the Switch to be mobile as well as a home console.
