Microsoft's market cap (its valuation on the stock market) has just surpassed 500 billion. Last time it was this high was in 1999.

It never actually got quite that high in 99 (I had shares at the time), topped out at the time just below 120 a share (equivalent of 60 a share today)

I mean in terms of market cap. There where more shares of the company back in 2000 than now, though the price is already beyond the 99 high,
