They should be count separately, and also something are getting a little complicate because the PS4 Pro and Scorpio(this one especially, is going to be mostly completly different to XB1) Now if you considered Next Gen based on POWER then things have been wrong for so many years. It would be perfect to call each gen by company, Sony's 4th Gen, MS 3rd Gen, Nintendo 7th Gen, if not well just let it rest, switch is 9th gen.
