I'm fluent in Irish (Gaelic) and I'm fluent in a bastardized version of the English language which we speak in Ireland.

I hear Gaelic is dying in Ireland. Is it true?

Nope.  It's at a very low level and spoken daily by a couple of hundred thousand people in certain rural regions.  But everyone learns the basics in school.

Although there are many gaelic schools that every subject except for English and other languages are thought in Irish.  I went to an all Irish primary school and learnt to speak it there.

These schools are growing in numbers and hopefully in many years to come most schools in ireland will be Irish schools.
