I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that's what you were implying. So then, you see someone being lit on fire because they had a dissenting political viewpoint and were taking pictures with their phone, and your first response is "I've seen worse?"

That's incredibly callous, at best, and perhaps even dangerous. If the first response to someone being assaulted for holding a differing political viewpoint, regardless of whether they're Republic, Democrat, Independent, Libertarian, Green, or whatever else, isn't something along the lines of "This is awful and needs to stop," then it might be time to reconsider just how you view humanity.

I come from a people that are pretty much wiped off the face of the earth. The survivors were pretty much ground under heel and forgotten. I consider myself to have a fairly positive outlook on humanity considering.

I'm perhaps wading into dangerous territory here, but I think it's a point worth making regardless. Native Americans have been treated horribly, and, were it possible, I would want the men responsible to be held accountable. However, that time has long since passed, and I can't help but feel that your disdain is misguided here. This girl has done nothing to harm you, and treating her (and other people who have done nothing) with contempt is only going to perpetuate and widen the divisions we have as a society.
