Liable also means "likely to be affected or harmed by something". Your thinking of "legally responsible for something". But breaking an NDA is in fact the latter. Helping someone to break an NDA does have legal ramifications. Basically Digital Foundry is receiving the information illegally.

You wish... DF haven't signed any document and isn't obligated to say who provided the info, so there is no case here... just you being angry about two systems being weaker than what you hoped for.

And to break a new for you, news outlet are supposed to be hitting hard whoever they report on, the ones supposed to pamper is marketing department.
