Its not the consumers fault if they were misinformed. Its Digital Foundry's fault for providing false information.

If the consumer refuses to change their conclusion though, once the true specs are (eventually) revealed, then it's a different story, I think. In cases where the truth is never straightforward or may never come to light, I would certainly be inclined to agree with you. However, the truth is coming out one way or another after launch =p comsumers should really make their decision then, if they're on the fence with respect to the console's power.
