I'm far from a conservative and don't even really like Trump, but I hate and distrust the mainstream media FAR more, so just the fact that they are so uniformly and visioucly opposed to him actually makes me empathize with him a bit and make me think "well, there must be something he's doing right that these asshats are so threatened by.." I'm wary of most of his policies, and some of the questionable figures he's bringing in to his cabinet, but at the very least, the fact that he seems to be working against the interests of these political and media elitists brings me some contentment. I at least overlap with him on his hatred of PC politics/SJW types as well as a distrust of free trade and globalization as a whole..
I think mine is just another example of how all the hatred of the man actually feeds into his success. The more these self-proclaimed morally superior elitist types hate on him, the more people just want to get on his side just to stick it to them.
