I totally get what you're saying. Especially the bolded. This is a huge point. If consoles are within the same race and have the same software support and one is cheaper, what's the point of getting the more expensive one? Especially if developers don't know how to get the most out of said system. If you cut it off to supporting only the new console, you leave out the larger install base. Now that I think about it, besides the online fans who want it, the PS4 Pros existance is really boggling and it seems as if it was rushed to market. The same thing is going to happen to scorpio, I think. If there's' no clear reason why I should buy a Scorpio besides slight fps increaes and resolution increases, it's not going to take off.
