Not sure if you are serious. If so, I hope you have room to give it a chance at some point. VR is absolutly the future of games. Sony has to be at the front if they want to stay on top of the indursty. I am very happy that they are pushing forward, and being proactive with this tech, because too many times Sony has been slow, and it has massivly hurt other industries. I really can't think of a AAA sytle game that won't benefit from VR. Some games really benefit from it, First Person Experiences, 3rd person Experience, and Racers. The Last Of US Part II would be a perfect game to support VR, because it fully engaes you in the world. There is no better way to play a 3rd person game, because no matter how big your screen is, you will never have a proper feild of view. We already know Polyphony is working on it for Gran Turismo, but honestly Sony needs to get the rest of their big studios doing projects. Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, Gurrillia, Sony San Deigo, they all need to be making AAA games for VR, to make sure Sony is ready for the swing from flat screen games to VR. |
I think VR definitely has a place in the videogame industry, preferably at arcades & theme parks. Personally I don't want to sit at home wearing one of those cumbersome contraptions. Also, I typically play games with others, story & multiplayer, so the shared big screen experience is a must.
Nowadays on the rare occasions I do play games alone I'd prefer to feel comfortable than more immersed, nothing wrong with people embracing VR but it's just not for me.
