Exclusives are the reason people choose consoles, if a console has multiplatform game along with exclusives, people will prefer that console as it's better value and has more diversity (which is why the ps4 is selling so much)

I just looked at the top 30 exclusives on the ps4. Outside of remasters, uncharted 4 was the only one in the top 30. It seems most people don't even care for ps4 exclusives outside of forums.

How many PS4/PS4 Slim/PS4 Pro gamers out of almost 55M are new to the Sony platform? How many of them skipped PS2/3? I've never owned PS1-3. I bought PS4 Slim specifically for existing and future exclusives.

Also, how are you defining core and casual gamers? If I buy 2-4 PS4 exclusives a year, I consider myself a causal console gamer. For me someone who sinks 100s of hours into COD/FIFA/Madden/Assassin's Creed/Battlefield 1/Borderlands/Destiny/GTA V/The Witcher 3/SW Battlefront/Minecraft is a hardcore console gamer. For me, exclusives make consoles more appealing for casual console gamers but that makes no sense since plenty of hardcore console gamers also own Sony exclusives. Therefore, the definition of casual vs. hardcore gamer doesn't appear universal. To me anyone who is hardcore about gaming is playing most 3rd party games on the PC and exclusives on consoles, but to you this would be a casual gamer since his collection of console games would be very small after 5-6 years compared to yours since you don't game on the PC.

Don't you think a lot more Sony/Nintendo/PC owners would consider XB if it had 10-20 excellent exclusives? 4K gaming isn't going to be enough of an incentive to get Nintendo/Sony owners/fan said to join the Xbox eco-system.
