Whoops, you're right, it got an 86 (on PC). Still, I think it can get an 87, I enjoyed the RE7 demo. Some critics will hate on it for being first person, so it will never break the 90 barrier like the first few RE games did, but I think enough critics will appreciate it for what it is for it to go high 80's.  

There are three RE games to have received a 90 or higher:

 

Resident Evil (1996)

Resident Evil (2002)

Resident Evil 4 (2005)

 

I also don't think that RE7 will get the acclaim of these games.
