But what's the point if their all the same thing basically and are of no consequence. The Witcher 3's SideQuests have the potential to be something mundane as Slaying monsters and gathering herbs to overarching plots that actually affect the story and game. |
even with the most basic side quests, they at least try put a story/back ground to it. heck, sometimes a side mission just seems pretty small, but you can run into the character later on or know what happened to them. like one of the first side quests in white orchard where you have to give a woman swallow to help her heal. if you go to the nilfgaardian camps in velen, you might run into someone who knows her, and tells you what happened to her after. the whole quest is pretty simple, yet it has its own interesting little hook. it what makes the world feel alive.
and of course there are side quests like the bloody baron, helping triss and yen, helping Crach's daughter and son. after finishing my first play through, when ever i looked back at the game i honestly thought those were part of the main missions.
