It depends on the genre the game falls in. I would much rather have companies make games in genres the public like for the most part (my tastes align with those games). Racing,TPS,FPS,WRPG,MMO,Sports, ect. Why make a game and spend a lot of money and time if the game's genre is something most people don't care about? For example, Microsoft shouldn't spend time and money with a JRPG like Scalebound that has been proven time and time again JRPGS don't sell that well outside of FF/Soul series (even though FF15/Soul series is cater to the western audience). Instead spend the money and time on Fable which has proven to be a successful franchise and a game that cater to a rather big audience. I really hope Fable 4 is announced. They have all the assets for god sakes from previous fables and fable legends.
