Right now VR seems to have two markets.
1. high-end devices (PSVR/Oculus/Vive) which at their current price wont be anything more than niche products for tech enthusiasts.
2. low-end devices (Gear VR/Cardboard/etc) which are pretty low quality and currently amount to nothing more than a novelty that grows old fast.
In order for VR to take off its going to need a medium tier market, something with the right mix of price & quality. We arent there yet.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
