Nintendo fans are not kids anymore, it's the people who grew up with Nintendo and are now in their 20s or 30s. Nintendo needs to interest a new demographic, especially kids, but they're having trouble with it. 

That's one of the many problems they have...I had quite a bit influence on my kids' gaming habits, so they love Nintendo games (especially Zelda, Mario and Kirby), but they are getting older and want to play games that are not on Nintendo systems due to lack of 3rd party support. Inevitably, if Nintendo does not offer solution for such kids, they will move away from them.
