Nice speech, blaming the world for US' problems, taking their jobs, stealing their wealth, getting rich off the backs of Americans. No more! He's going to take it all back. Blame the establishment for all other internal problems and instead ask what your country can do for you. Patriotism and Protectionism, but he'll determine the course of the world as well.

I swear I saw Bush chuckling, good luck with that, at some point during the speech about building roads and bridges.

Btw how religious in the USA? How many blessings did he receive during all that?

Well I'm sure those trade deals involved some of those problems. I mean trade deals have decimated OUR economy as well, with our manufacturing leaving, and with low wage mcjobs replacing good earning ones. At least America has someone to stand up for them, the same can't be said for Canada.

I'm no expert on trade deals, yet claiming it's a oneway street doesn't fly with me. How can the trade deal between USA and Canada decimate both our economies... Canada invested too much in tar sands thinking peak oil had already been reached.

But he's right in one thing, if you want to support your own economy, buy local. Yet what is he going to do so people can afford to buy locally made products. Simply making foreign made products more expensive isn't going to make locally made goods more competitive. It's funny, what he wants is basically the same as raising tax. Buy local, hire local, or pay more, and thus generate more tax. It leads to the same effect, reduce your addictive consumer lifestyle and lower purchasing power. We'll see if protectionism can work this time.
