Nintendo is outsourcing its resources to the smartphone. I don't think this is something bad. You don't have to install a headphone interface to every controller so it saves costs. I don't see the issue with using a smartphone and its headset. I mean, every smartphone comes with a headset, so you don't have to buy extra equipment for the Switch.
What's the problem?
