Ok well if that's the case, then if this Boycott becomes popular among wii owners then it looks like i will be buying a ps3/360 to play some of ubi's franchises since all this boycott will do is turn ubi away from wii.

I don't think so, it's not that simple... The percentage of gamers who know about this boycott is very small, not enough to make them change their strategy. A boycott is a personal thing, it doesn't matter if you really think it will have an effect by itself.

However, all the noise around this boycott may cause Ubisoft to do a public statement clarifying their position and/or cause their executives to recheck their stance on the Wii, which would be a good thing by itself. Even if they end up changing nothing, many people would be satisfied by simply seeing them clarify their position. Last year they said they were putting massive resources into Wii development (400-500 people), and that they'd achieve Nintendo-like quality in their games. Personally, I want them to clarify what happened to these promises. With that amount of resources you could make truly great games, which so far aren't released, announced or even hinted at, so pardon me if I'm highly suspicious of those claims.

@Ivader: Sorry if I misunderstood you, I didn't see you quoting any post so I assumed you were just posting a generic comment.
