So....I won't try to excuse this...but I hope people in here realize that just because this is an inconvenience to you...it might not be an inconvenience to someone else. Having this feature is a definite plus...but as stated in the thread, there are simple work-arounds, and it may or may not be a big deal depending on your setup.
For my personal setup, charging the PS4 controller is basically impossible unless I move right up to the TV screen. Yes, I realize I can buy an extension cable, or simply a longer cord...but that's still an added expense, which seems to be an absolute crime based on the comments in this thread. The same goes for my Bluetooth headphones. For some reason, Sony decided I can't use these on my PS4, so I was forced to buy a $40 dongle to use them. Another added expense, and another inconvenience.
Now...I realize this doesn't excuse Nintendo from doing the same thing...and maybe it makes sense for me to make threads complaining about Sony not including these extras right out of the box. Unfortunately...I don't expect that. No setup is the same, and I don't expect every console maker to appeal to my every need, even if it's something that seems incredibly obvious.
Anyways, and this goes for everyone, drop the rude remarks, drop the condescension, drop the general fandom attacks. If this is a big deal to you...okay. If it isn't...also okay. But don't try to pretend that this is something everyone needs to care about equally. Because this obviously isn't a problem exclusive to Nintendo.
