It's still worth thinking about though. Why are there so many PS fans that claim to be former Nintendo fans? One explanation is that they are lying. Another explanation is that they didn't get manipulated by Nintendo, changed alliance and then stuck with Sony through everything, no matter how bad; meaning they fall to manipulation by Sony's marketing, otherwise they would have switched consoles again.

Nintendo is rapidly losing customers when they do bad things; we can look at sales data for that. Sony doesn't suffer in the same way; the only time that things went really down south for Sony was with the Vita when they made an exit altogether.

True. Especially when you ignore how many fans (and sales) they lost between ps2 and ps3. But sure, let's leave that out ;)
