I didn't know this guy, but that was a well-grounded rebuttal. I pretty much agree with him. Tbh, I love Jim videos, but I watch them as a show. I have to distinguish between the "thank God for me" Jim and the grounded, thoughtful Jim, which sometimes... is a bit hard. So that kind of devaluates his points, which sometimes are pretty valid, other times is just for show. He wrote today on TW how the Mario/Sonic 06 comparison was not to taken seriously, for example. And I don't think he meant to seriously label people who play 1,2 Switch assholes tbh. That's just his character.
Oh, and I totally agree with you that a die-hard Nintendo fan can make very good points about Nintendo stuff without being biased. I'd take it as a personal offense that someone thought that I can't think by myself when it comes to Nintendo. They did some shitty stuff, and most of us acknowledge that. If the argument is valid and thoughtful, that's it.
