No you aren't you are ignoring a specific usage case scenario simply because it won't affect someone like you. You are also ignoring a blatant design flaw (in truth i can't even call it a design flaw cause they did this on purpose which is why they have a version of the grip they sell that supports what I am asking for; which makes this worse)
If you can't dispute what is being said, its really a messed up discussion tactic to instead resort to dismissing it.
Here are the facts..... if you buy the switch, as is... its impossible to charge the joycons and play on you TV at the same time. If you want to be able to do that for whatever your reason then you will have to spend another $30 in addition to the purchase of your switch. Something that if you do will make something that comes with your switch completely redundant (the USB portless grip)
Take me for instance, I have a projector. And all my appliances are basically in a cabinet in another room. I could try explaing how this setup works for my PS4, but no need for that. I'll just say for someone like me; if nintendo doesn't allow me download all my games? No buy. If i do buy, then I must spend another $30 just to be able to charge my controllers without having to go to the console.
Now all that, and this whole thread could have been avoided if nintendo had just thought to put a USB port on the joycon grip........ actually, they did think about it. They chose to sell that thought seperately.
