How about this? make the bloody grip that comes with the console support USB pass through so you can charge your joycons + be able to play on the big scren (TV) while charging the joycons AND that way if you buy a second pair of joycons you can slide that into the console thats in the dock.

Less convoluted approach and more functional. And look!!!! Took me all of 1 min to think of that.

Yes, you don't even need to buy an extra grip. You simply buy two extra Joy-cons and slide them on the dock. When the Joy-cons you have on the grip run out of juice, you simply swap them with the ones of the dock.

Ok cool, so what of if i dont want an extra joycon and i want to/or my set up is such that i have to plug in my controllers while still playing on the big screen....like say, I have a projector and my appliances are very far away like different room  or I have a 6 yr old that i dont want holding the tablet for ferar that he may damage it and would rather that he only uses the grip?

You keep skirting the issue, if you have to come up with so many alternative ways to do an otherwise very simple thing? Then you know something is wrong.
