Didn't get Splatoon as I'm not a fan of that genre really, but I thought that their release schedule was neat. Beyond the game being insanely fun from waht I hear, it kept people coming back as there were constantly new maps and weapons being released making people excited to come in and check them out. Now if Nintenod had them each cost money, like DLC, then it would be shit. But the frequent fast free updates sounds fun. |
SFV pulled the exact same thing and got crucified for it. I don't find launching at $60 with only 5 maps and 2 modes "neat." Especially not for a second go around. It's even less acceptable here than it was in the original.
