Switch's Gimmick Doesn't Target The Casual Gamer

So yeah the main point of appeal is to someone who is already an experienced, selective gamer, not "soccer mom's first console", or "Nintendo's smart phone killer gaming device". 

Case in point, you think casual means soccer moms and people who play free mobile time wasters.
