Ugh.  I still remember the horrible excuses for that.  "Most people will probably already have a power cord."  "It only costs like $5 for a cord on eBay."  Excusing them leaving out a cord that probably costs them like $.50-$1 to throw in the box?  Seriously, sometimes there are Nintendo fans that are TOO diehard.
