They've always had a habit of keeping their 1st party game prices high as well, most other publishers discount their games regularly, dropping them to $40 within 3 months, to $30 within 6 months, to $20 within a year, and in some cases, all the way down to $10 after a few years, but with Nintendo price drops come slower and those later stages often don't come at all. Here are some examples: Twilight Princess, 10+ years old: $30 Skyward Sword, 5 years old: $40 Pokemon X and Y, 3 years old: $30 Super Mario 3D Land, 5 years old: $30 Kirby's Return to Dreamland, 5 years old: $40 Splatoon, 1.5 years old: $50 Fire Emblem Fates, nearly 1 year old: $40 Pokken, nearly 1 year old: $53 |
I agree with Nintendo but that's not an argument. Good games hold their value. That's a fact.
