Yep, basically the standard in any online shooter. At least Splatoon is not anual XD.

Well even Call Of Duty has a development time of 3 years (3 different developer are working on cod titles => Infinity Wards, Trech Arch and the guys from advanced warfare). So each individual title is 3 years in development. I doubt thats the case with splatoon^^
