Actually anyone with Internet access can access Miiverse. They have a website you just have to set a my.nintendo account.

 

My bad. Your right. Miiverse was accessible from the web. But unless people were deliberately looking for it they wouldn't be exposed to Nintendo content. There is a much better chance of someone finding out about the Switch from Facebook than there is from Miiverse. Feel free to correct my ramblings anytime. I actually appreciate it.
