I don't bother to turn it off, don't miss it either when I happen to play on the one controller with broken rumble. It's only annoying when I put the controller down for a minute and it starts making one hell of a racket on the table and ends up on the floor soon after.
Perhps HD rumble can make the joycons move around in different directions on an ouija board :)
