So how many of you are quitting console gaming?

for me,.. a switch would be a secondary console not a primary.  i wouldn't pay for online on a secondary console that doesn't get a ton of play a year.  i wouldn't get mariokart (i have no interest in splatoon regardless) if i can't play online.

i suspect mario kart, splatoon, smash, and the switch will sell less than if they would not have online fees.  

nintendo can't really fill that secondary console position and then charge a subscription fee to play the games.
