An absolutely epic new Mario and Zelda, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart Deluxe, Skyrim, ARMS, Fifa, Just Dance, Lego City Undercover, etc all in a very appealing console that happens to be the most powerful handheld until date, that also works like a homeconsole and has some awesome technology on those Joycons that are able to make things the others cant, on  top of that it has a brilliant marketing so far, this will be a very succesful gift for holidays, young gamers and more casual audiences will love it and holidays is when they buy in mass.

The Wii U has/had Mario Kart, Splatoon, Mario and Zelda games. Nobody cared about it then, I don't think the broad audience will suddenly love it. Outside of the Nintendo fans, no, Zelda and Mario are not exceptional games: everybody knows the names, but the families won't run in the stores to buy the latest Zelda. Skyrim is like other games, a late port, no real interest. It won't be nearly enough to compensate the usual marketing storms used by the big hitters like CoD, Battlefield, RDR2, maybe Destiny 2, and all the other big popular games the publishers like to launch at this moment, which won't launch on the Switch.

The fact that it's also an handheld won't be that big either IMO, it's just a tablet you can plug to your TV, it shouldn't impress anyone. And it's not a great handheld because of the battery, the 3DS is still a way better deal if you want to offer an handheld to your kids (and it has tons of games).

The worst part is the price. You can buy today a PS4 with a game at 300€, or even less (and like I said, there will most likely be a price cut before the holidays). With the Switch, it's at least that (and even 330€ here, in France), without any game, without the real controller (nor the ethernet adapter). It's simply too expensive to be competitive. Less powerful, way fewer games, no user base, but more expensive just because you can play a couple of hours with it as an handheld. A lot of people won't care about that enough to erase all the previous points. Why would you spend more money to buy that instead of the sure, popular and cheaper choice, if you're not a Nintendo fan? Nintendo will need to do a price cut too if they want a chance to win the holidays. But we know how Nintendo likes to keep their launch price...

I´m sorry but that is just a bunch of poor arguments, i dont even know where to beggin with, but let´s make a sinopsis, Wiiu was not appealing and most people didnt know what it was until years after, the early line up was very wealk with nothing even close to things like Splatoon 2, BoTW, Mario Kart or Mario Oddissey, but this thing will have all those pretty soon, this thing is very appealing and has a very clear and great marlketing that everybody understands. This has nothing to do with WiiU, and no, it doesnt last 2 hours, it goes up to 6.5 hours and the average would be like 3-5 hours, just like the Vita or the first 3DS which was pretty successful, this is not a direct competitor for the Ps4 so the price and power comparison is irrelevant specially when the general public dont care about it, thats why 3ds sold more than Vita or Iphones sell more than more powerful and cheaper mobiles, but in any case as a handheld this thing is a monster, BoTW at 720p on a 6" screen will look very impressive for people despite what numbers say.
