I admitted , i had planed to buy Switch this year (not day one) but in the summer or holiday season 2017 , when it was announced on October , i fall in love,  i like the concept to play Wii U power level graphic on the go, it has Zelda BOTW, and Skyrim, and even so a truly Super Mario 64 successor . And new Xenoblade.

But then i stumble on the price, really, 300 USD , with that money i can buy new GPU or PS4 .  Ridiculous online service payment, and battery live, i tough it would be around 3-4 hours minimum but it's 2.5 hours minimum and 6 hour for 6 ( i bet 2d style games or old gen games with low speaker volumes, brightness , no Wifi enable) .

And so i guess i will wait for 2018, and also another factor i am considered is i will wait for more first party games, and portable  batteries that can be attached to the Switch.  For the price i bet they will not cut the price even after 2 years (it's Nintendo and we know how they persistent with the price). But at last i can save some money.

The price I can see it being lowered rather fast.I can see either a 50 dollar discount or a good bundle by holiday, and in two years it should be more affordable. So not THAT much of an issue. And battery life is not as bad as people make it out to be.Most games will be a minimum betwenn 3 to 3.5 hours, and thats acceptable.Online pay howerver, is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.....  Nintendo could have taken this chance to leave multiplayer out of the subscription and gain a leverage over the others but didnt.Well, we will see how it turns out

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
